Hello. I'm wondering if someone could help me identify this mineral? It can be scratched with a fingernail and is formed in layers.

I'm pretty sure it is clear calcite streaked with Barite. Barite is brownish yellow and is often found coating or in calcite. It's also found up in Ohio and seeing as how you are in Canada which is relatively close...that would be my guess. Or it could be layered with sulfite crystals. Smile Definately calcite tho.
