My first trip to this room....little stagnant, eh?
Thought about dropping this bomb in zoology room, but whatever, here goes - what is your take on the recent findings (this past week) of the man in Loch Ness, Scotland, than ran across the first EVER fossils of a plesiosaur found there? I think it's great. To me, this shows that:
1) the Loch was (and is?) capable of containing such a creature
2) the (questionable) proof throughout the recent decades of such a creature living there has some pretty decent merit now, i.e. - the rumors, stories, photos, video, radar waves, etc. may not have ALL been based on complete bunk it would seem
What's your take on this interesting development?

Interesting, but it actually does not show point number 1, and therefore has little to say about point number 2. Loch Ness was created during the last ice age (12 thousand years ago), but the fossil is around 150 million years old. Loch Ness didn't even exist when this creature lived.
It's possible that the same glaciers that created Loch Ness also moved the fossil from another area into Loch Ness.
