Take this quiz and find out. I scored a 17, middle-left.

If anyone can find a better left-right quiz please post it.

Trying this out of curiosity, I find I'm at 9 and so to the right of Ted Kennedy, the commie! To the left of both Clintons though. In Britain I would normally vote for the Conservative Party which is the big party of the right in our politics. I don't think I've ever voted for a Labour candidate( Tony Blair's party) . As an American political commentator observed of our last General Election, you could fit the whole of the modern Labour Party and the whole of the modern Conservative Party within the Democrats.
Ted Kennedy must have some pretty extreme views to be seen as ultra 'liberal ' What does he want to do? Nationalise every major industry ? Big Grin

By the way, how liberal would you need to be to want national healthcare and regard it as a fundamental right of citizens in a civilised country? If it's to the far end then I (and every European, methinks) would be off the end of the scale!

I'm happy to report that I scored the same as Fred, when I took the same test Kendor posted on the EODB earlier. I suggest those of us to the left of - oh, say Colin Powell, check what that makes us in Kendor's classification system; in the "CessPool"!!
A bunch of "left-wing turds". Roll Eyes

Pinkos! I got a twelve. The test is obviously for people from the US, however. It often seems that the US political spectrum is different from those in Europe or the Frozen North.

I got 11. I was surprised, because I was answering several questions in what I'd consider conservative ways.

Well, there was one question that I had no opinion on, so based on how voted there, I was either 34,or 35.

I scored 28. Smile

The question I didn't like was. Which do you trust more:
The executive branch or
The legislative branch?

Can I have the option of neither? Roll Eyes

Sagus, I looked at the question stated, and I understood it to mean a question not on who is currently in power, but on how the body is built. How did you see it?-

Now that depends on which side of the mountains you're on, Giz. Big Grin Over here, Washington state is as red as it gets, the downtown core of Spokane excepted.
