What do you think of Obama's cabinet ( as so far 'known', therefore including Mrs Clinton)?

Is Richardson, for Commerce, a hint that Obama really likes trade deals? Richardson has been in favour of the Colombian agreement.

It seems to be, disappointingly, a collection of the usual suspects. Is Obama being clever, or is he just perpetuating the establishment? Who will actually call the shots - the grizzled old political hacks, or the new guy?

Welcome to political reality. A candidate says things he believes people want to hear. In the case of Obama, it was all about change; that was his buzzword. Lamentably, the economic situation in the world demands policies which render Obama's rhetoric nonfunctional. Look at whom he chose for Treasury, Economic Advisors, a whole package of old hands. Whodda thunk Volker would be back? I'm looking at a bear rally through the end of December, especially if Obama cancels his plans to raise taxes on capital gains and dividends. That day, the Dow will go up over 1000 points. Big drop to maybe 6500-7000 on the Dow first two quarters of next year. Then everything goes up.

I liked the Obama comment on this subject the other day. He said (paraphrased) "...change will come from me", meaning that as the boss he will direct policy but he neeeds experienced people to make his policy a functional reality.
