Well, I'm happy to know my husband is getting a raise next year (military) but I really can't see where Congress needed another one. I mean, COLA is supposed to help you make enough to afford to live. A 3.5% raise for my husband will mean an additional $875 a year for him. That will make a difference. But I personally feel when you're in the $150,000 range, um you really can manage just fine.
I think there is something wrong with being able to vote yourself a pay raise. That shouldn't be their decision.

MX2, technically they're not voting themselves a pay raise. Any pay increase can't take effect until a new session of Congress. Of course, some of them will be gone but most will still be there. Convenient, huh?
