I thought this had been passed:

*That undocumented workers living in the US for more than 5 years could stay in the US and begin the road to citizenship if 1) they haven't broken any other laws and 2) they learn English and 3) they pay all back taxes.

*That undocumented workers living in the US for more than 2 years would have to return to their home country but would also begin the road to returning legally to the US with the same conditions as above.

*That undocumented workers living in the US for less than 2 years would have to return to their country.

*That a guest worker program will begin, making it easier for workers to come to the US legally.

*That coming to the US illegally will now be considered a crime, meaning that the government has decided to make it easier to come to the US legally but harder to come illegally.

Here are my questions. First, is my understanding outlined above correct? Second, has it really passed? A friend of mine told me that it hasn't passed, which confused me.

Can anyone explain it all to me?

I've been in the woods for a week, so maybe I'm not the best for a current answer, but as far as I know no bill has passed both the Senate and the House. The things you mention (or something close to them) are parts of bills passed by one house but not the other. They aren't law, of course, until both houses pass the same bill, something that doesn't look promising at present.
