Not in the news paper I found this out, but Danny's building is being inspected (and he was and everyone in the building) by Secret Service and homeland security.

It appears tht this weekend Vice President will be in SF and staying right across the street from where Danny works.

Now my question. considering tht Danny is not going to be at work this weekend (when Vice President is there) is it right for the homeland Security to run background checks on him now?

I am certainly no friend of CHeney's nor am I a supporter of government intrusion, but I see justification for checking all employees. While I don't know details of Danny's employment, I can see several reasons for checking out all employees: schedules may change, people call off and must be replaced, people may drop by work unexpectedly (I forgot my meds in my locker and I need them.) etc. What I see as a minor intrusion may, in fact, be the first step down a slippery slope, but I feel it is preferable to an assassination attempt.
