Can anybody tell me why George W walks as though he carrying two invisible sheep under his arms?

Because he's THAT badass. Really. All badass people have sheep, some invisible some not. I personally prefer goats.

It's subconscious. Being directed by God, he thinks he is the Good Shepherd Big Grin

It's the typical "gunslinger's stance". He has to picture himself as a badaaas Texas marshall, ready to administer frontier justice wherever needed. Notice the legs bowed out from riding the range, the cow-poke, good-ole-boy language.

Could it be something to do with the various electronic devices he's strapped into before making speeches?

He's got his lats flared and can't walk naturally. He's trying to look like a "tough guy." Working in bars over the years,I've seen a lot of guys put on that act (but never one that used to be a cheerleader in college). Guys who do that never fail to impress...themselves.

Yeah, it's that 'go ahead, make my day' kind of posture.

Dorian, that cheerleader comment is cracking me up big time. Do you mean complete with mini skirt and baton? Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

No, with a sweater and a megaphone.

Bush's high school of choice was the elite boarding school, Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. While in high school, Bush gave baseball another shot but found his calling in being the head cheerleader for the all-boy school (he should be thankful that he did not attend a Texas high school). - Indy Media

Bush became a big brother to four other Bush kids. Then, at 15, he left home to start on the traditional family educational track at an elite prep school in the East, Phillips Andover. George Sr. had been a baseball star wearing the Andover "A." Bush also played baseball, but mostly made his mark as a cheerleader for the teams. - CNN

Bush almost instinctively managed to always be in the center of the action, an ubiquitous, noisy presence at school events. He was the head football cheerleader his senior year, a member of his class rock-and-roll band, the Torqueys not singing or playing an instrument but clapping and organizer of the school's stickball league. - Washington Post

I erred. Bush was a cheerleader in prep school. I saw no evidence that he made the college cheerleading team. (I guess college cheerleading is a tougher gig.) Rah, Rah ! Boola boola, George.
