Vote for the candidate of your choice.

If you haven't already, be sure to vote before the polls close in your state on November 4.

I second Fuse's statement. Go. Vote. I voted last Tuesday, and got the same good feeling I get every time I vote. I think this election will see the highest rate of participation in decades, and I hope that each person who votes gets the same good feeling.

I realised the USA was a truly serious minded country when it took her immigration an hour to let me and my fellow British passengers into the country and then discovered that it took an hour and a half for a news anchor on ABC to vote in the country.(And he was far from the slowest) Big Grin

The greatest political show on earth

It certainly beats Canada's recent 'aw, do we have to vote for these guys again?' election.

But what's up with the basic mechanics of the US voting system? How is it that just about every other mature democracy seems to do the thing more efficiently using only pencils and paper?

There's some story that Maryland is planning just that very thing.

The queueing is a surprise.I've never seen a queue at a British polling station and the whole procedure; entering the polling station, giving your name, it being checked on the list, getting the stamped ballot paper, entering the booth , marking a cross and posting the paper in the ballot box; doesn't take more than one minute.

These lines were for people to vote early: what do they expect on the 4th ? Confused

It can't help that they have more than just the presidential election to vote in.

Yes go vote on Nov 4, unless you are republican. Republican voting starts November 5th this year.

My Maryland Ballot this year, in addition to the President and Vice President, has A Congressman, Judges of the Circuit Court, Court of Appeals, Court of Special Appeals, Questions 1 and 2, and questions A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K. And we do Not have Early Voting. That's one of the Questions we'll be voting on.

I always get a good feeling when I vote, but this year I think I'll be on cloud nine, with a natural high.

frank, the Mrs. and I have loved and taken advantage of early voting. Despite long lines elsewhere in NC, we went early Saturday and had to wait on just one person. Further, there is an off chance that I will be out of town Tuesday, and the Mrs. works in another County, thus this has ensured us of the opportunity of voting without excuses.

Does anyone have a negative experience? I am all for early voting and firmly believe that turnout is higher as a result.

Enjoy the free high, honi! Whoever wins, many believe a tumor will be removed in January.
