To ever see any part of it, you need to be below about 35o N latitude. To ever see the whole thing, you need to be below about 25o N latitude. For it to be visible all night, year-round, you need to be below about 35o S latitude. For reference, the southern Tennessee border is at about 35o N, the southern tip of Florida is at about 25o N, and Buenos Aires is at about 35o S.

Yes, methos, I certainly am - to Moorea in October. I am going with my daughter and we are so excited about it we can hardly breathe. I was once told by a fellow who has been all over the world that Tahiti was the most beautiful place he had ever seen (with Gaugin and Marlon Brando to back him!) much prettier than Hawaii, and that made me want to go. I usually do a big or semi-big trip each year.
Thank you for helping me locate it. I guess I'll be able to see the SC from there, huh? I get excited seeing a frigate bird! Once I saw a big jet at the airport marked "International Micronesia" and I almost fainted!
Tell you all about it when I get back.

Most likely. At that latitude, the Southern Cross won't be visible all night, every night, but I believe (but am not sure) that it will be visible at some point during the night at that latitude.
