How much time does it take for light from the Sun to reach the Earth?

If I remember correctly it takes about 8.5 minutes for the sun's light to reach the earth.

I agree with Paul. Sun's distance from Earth about 93,000,000 miles. Speed of light 186,000 miles per second.
