I couldn't help looking at the crescent moon last night when the sky was very clear, and noticing the nighttime part of the moon ( the part not lit up by the sun as opposed to the sunlit crescent part) and viewing the "earthshine"on the nightime part that clearly made the entire moon visible (partly by sunlight, and mostly by earthlight). I was wondering, if I was standing on that night time part of the moon looking up at the earth, would I also see a see a 'crescent' earth, partially bathed in both sunlight and moonlight?

Thanks, Kendor, that's what I was looking for. I DIDN'T THINK THE EARTHLIGHT ON THE MOON COULD BE THAT BRIGHT IF ONLY A CRESCENT EARTH LIT HER UP. She was lit by a nearly full earth, as I remained 'hidden' from her view in earth's nightime sky......but I have one more question....when the earth is crescent from the moon's point of view, can the moon people on the night side of the moon see the moonlight (moonshine) lighting up the night side of the earth (assuming no cloud cover)? That would be cool.
