The temperature of the sun is approximatly 5800 K on the surface and 15 600 000 K at the core.

Don't you mean add 273.15 methos? 0 Kelvins is absolute zero after all, and scientists have yet to find something at that temperature.

no, i mean subtract. subtract 273.15 from the kelvin scale, and you end up with degrees C.

if you had to add, then 0 K (absolute zero) would come out to 273.15 deg. C. Since it's about 15 deg C outside where i am right now, and i'm sure i'm not below absolute zero, subtraction is correct.

You would, of course, add 273.15 to convert from deg. C to K, but this is not the way i phrased it.
