Samamtha is right, they usually give you a low dose birth controll/hormone pill to get you regular. Like Sam said are you going through menopause, have you recently lost or gained a bunch of weight are you stressed? All of these things can cause a stop in your cycle. You should contact your doctor anyway, in case something more serious is happening. Also if you are young, the stop in periods can cause bone loss causing broken bones or early onset of osteo-arthrightis.

Theresa I would call your doctor and talk to them. They will probably want you to come in and be seen. They can use different hormones and birth control pills to help many situations. Good luck sorry I was not much help. Take care!

Theresa, I agree with the others about getting a professional assessment by a doctor. If you are a young woman, as already stated, other problems can occur. I suffered (if that is what you called it!! I loved having no periods!! ) with VERY infrequent periods..skipping up 9 months at a time. Let me add a cautionary note to this... I had 2 (count them TWO!!) sons while NOT HAVING PERIODS!!!! So, you CAN get pregnant without periods (depending on the reason of course)!! After I had my sons for some reason I became regular Whatever the reason, getting additional information is always a good idea. ~Sher~
