I recently ran across an article regarding the mini pill, doctors and scientists are doing research right now ... It seems that women who are both 155lbs or more and over 5'8" tall have a 40% chance of getting pregnant while using the mini pill according to manufacturers instructions. It seems that the body absorbs the hormones more quickly for women who fit both of these descriptions and have a higher chance of getting pregnant while correctly taking the pill. The article I read was in the October issue of Glamour magazine, I am interested in finding more info, has anyone else heard about this as of yet?

I fit the profile 160 lbs and 5'10" tall and have gotten pregnant 2 times while on the pill, I am sure there were no missed or late pills...I don't begrudge the manufacturers at all I am glad I have my kids but I would like to learn more about the whole scandal......

The birth control pill just is not right for some people. I have not heard of this "mini" pill (what is it, smaller than the regular pill?) but I know that some people just can't use birth control pills, they don't work for them.
After you got pregnant the first time while on the pill, it might have been time to consider different options for birth control because if it happened once it could happen again. And so it did.
However, you should talk to your doctor. Tell your doctor about what you've read and ask if the pill is still right for you. Your doctor may suggest a different approach.
