Okay, I`ll just start from the beginning. I`m an American 18 yr old(guy) highschool exchange student in Japan, and I`ve been here for a good 10 months now. I`ll be going home back to America next month(July 21st), and there has been one woman teacher who`s been like a mother to me since I`ve come here. So I want to do something for her that would make a really good "Thank you" gift for her, and to just show her how much I appreciate all that she`s done for me since I`ve come to this school, in Japan. Any ideas? Just assume that I have very limited resources to make anything American style for her, becuase in that catagory; I kind of am. I`ve been thinking of this for a while now and I can`t think of anything that I could do which would be really...meaningful for her. Any suggestions?

You'd be amazed how much a homemade card with a heartfelt note telling her how much you appreciate all she's done can mean to someone. I'd take that over anything store bought anytime.

A hand written note sounds very sweet.. add a small flower arrangement or a small box of very select chocolates and she will be very pleased. wink
