Hi! I am not sure if this is the right section for this question, but here it goes: A couple of friends of mine that I haven't seen in a year and a half are going to be in town soon, and one of their mothers is giving them a "surprise party" (it was a surprise, until the mother told them about it ). I will be going, of course, but I don't know if I am supposed to bring anything or not. I asked the mother, and she said I didn't need to bring anything, but for some reason I feel like I am supposed to. So, my questions are: 1. Do I need to bring something? 2. If I do, what should that something be? Thank you!

I wouldn't bring anything. It's just a reunion it seems. But if she's a best friend, go ahead and give her a 'so happy to see you again' present if you want. Something small and thoughtful that says "hey, great to see you" perhaps. I don't know, a stuffed animal with a heart for a belly button or something.
