I cannot access your source because they want me to become a member and log in.

But I can show you mine. (it doesn't mean it is right) but that's what I,ve based my answer on.

All members of the Churchill family had animal nicknames. Wife Clementine was "Cat", son Randolph was "Rabbit", daughter Mary was "Mouse", to name a few. Source

I found your source Dawg, but it cannot be accessed from this site. And it does back you up. So there could be 2 answers to this.

To access your source, you have to write down "chumbolly", on Google, and pick the first link intitled " "his father's son".

I can go with that too. The book sources all site a Churchill letter from before his birth, caling him the Chumbolly. Anyhow, excellent answer and research (Sorry about my link... should have tested it AFTER posting Roll Eyes )
