The Globe was the conservative newspaper in St. Louis. It was a morning paper, and the much more widely respected Post Dispatch was the liberal paper, which came in the afternoon. My family recieved both, and I read them as a child. The Post had better funnies. The Globe folded in the late 60s or early 70s. I seem to remember a revival attempt later, but it was half-hearted.
