In 1832 a group of men and women living in an area between the United States and Canada, decided to form their own nation. They wrote their own constitution, elected a legislature, established courts, and mobilized an army of forty fighting men." What was this nation called then, and what is it called now?

Back then it was called the Indian Stream Republic, and it existed for three years before "the New Hampshire legislature realized their rebellious North Countrymen had seceded, and brought them back into the fold." Today, Indian Stream Republic is better known as Pittsburgh, New Hampshire.
