According to the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress, he served as U.S. Senate sergeant-at-arms from 1890 to 1893.
Itimous Thaddeus Valentine Jr. (1926- ), better known as Tim, is a North Carolina Democrat who was first elected to the House in 1982, served six terms, and retired reather than seek re-election in 1994.
