Who was the youngest person to be elected to the US House of Representatives under the Constitution? (This one was tough to research, so someone may find one even younger than the man I found.)

Davis was elected to the South Dakota House of Representatives, not the US House of Representatives, Mozart. Besides, I have one even younger.

Sorry DG,I misread your question. It's a tricky one, because you have to be 25 years old nowadays to become a candidate for the US house of Representative, which leads me to conclude that the answer has to be someone before that law was enforced. The reform from 65 candidates to 435 candidates happened in 1910, and in 1832, F. Pierce at the age of 28 had been the youngest one, I conclude the answer is between 1832 and 1910.Right?

Constitution of the United States
Article 1, section 2.
"No person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the age of twenty five years, and been seven years a citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that state in which he shall be chosen."

The 25 year old minimum age for Representatives has always been in effect under the Constitution.
No, this man was not in that time span you gave.
Hints (in chrological order)
Born in one state, US Representative from a second, Governor of 2 different Territories, Governor of a third state, US Senator from that third state.

Earlier I mentioned (wrongly) Justin Davis 24 years old, and you replied: "Besides, I have one even younger".

That's where I got lost.

The man I have as the youngest was younger than 24 when he was elected to the US House. He died at 42, so he accomplished all that (above) as a young man.
