My husband and I are planning a trip to New Hampshire for next June, to coincide with the Nextel Cup race at Loudon. We might take a week off and do some leisurely driving so I’m looking for thoughts on interesting stuff to do in New Hampshire, and also maybe side trips on the way or back between Rochester NY and Loudon NH. We might also take a dip down to New Haven CT, depending on how much time we have.
I like culture and history and nature, he likes cars and Transformers and video games. Oh, and no off-roading because we’ll probably be driving the Corvette. Big Grin
Thanks!!

If there's anyone who has some NH tips, I'd still be glad to hear them! The trip will be this October, so we're still looking for things to do. Thanks!

Sorry no one's responded to you yet, Elexina, but give it time and hopefully someone will. I myself have little advice to offer, I'm afraid, though I have been to New Hampshire, having driven up to Montreal from Wakefield Mass. a few years ago. The only location I sem to have seen in NH though appears to be the small town of Lebanon where I remember having lunch. It didn't impress me unduly and seemed rather, well, ordinary (the town I mean, not the meal). This site

is the official guide to the State and seems to have lots of useful links, including a calendar so you can click on October and see what's on offer. It certainly appears to be a place for outdoor activities but as an official tourism site is no doubt heacvilny baised in the place's favour. Good luck - and I hope someone more familiar with New Hampshire responds soon.

Thanks, Colin!
Our hotel room has a hot tub, so maybe we won't need to do much touristing... Wink

I am thinking about taking a swing through Webster MA on our way to Northampton and checking out Lake Chargoggagaggmanchaugagoggchaunagungamaugg at least. Big Grin
