My husband and I are going to visit Colorado the last week in October. We have been to Colorado Springs, and Manitou. We have visited Pikes Peak ,and Garden of Gods. What other places are there? We enjoy allot of shopping, antique and alternative shops, and great dining, formal or non-formal,& any kind of entertainment. We are interested in any part of Colorado, have any ideas?
Thanks, from Kansas City

I have skied on years past, but unfortunately not able to ski now because problems with my ankle. Do you know of any city's within Colorado other than Colorado Springs, and Manitou Springs that would be worth checking out?

Hi ! Thanks for noticing my question and taking the time to respond to me. We returned from our vacation a couple of weeks ago. We drove thru Colorado in order to head out to California. We drove along Hiway 1 along the coast and what a beautiful drive. We visited Hearst Castle in San Simion,CA and it was quite a tour! We loved it. It was simply amazing. We drove on up the coast to San Francisco, which was nice, but seriously, Colorado remains one of our most favorite places to vacation. We love Colorado Springs. If it wasn't for all of our family being here in Kansas City, we would move to Colorado. We still may someday !! On our way back home we drove back thru Colorado and it was snowing! Yeah!!! I was so happy, because of the drought. I hope and pray this will help make up for the loss of water supply, every little bit helps! I know that it had affected the tourism there tremendously, we spoke to allot of the store and shop owners, and so many had been devasted. My husband and I would love to hear of any great spots in Colorado. A bad ankle keeps us from being able to snow ski, but we love all entertainment, and would love to hear of some great places. If you have the time please forward your ideas. I will keep praying for your snow. Thanks agian

Thank you so much for the snow prayers. We can't get enough of them!! It's looking a little better this year, but it will take us several hard heavy winters to recover completely. But so far Wolf Creek has had around 37", Vail and Breckenridge was around 25", and my 'water source' of Leadville, Colorado had 22". And it's early, so we're looking good so far! YEAH!!

Hmmm...well, what do you guys like to do for fun? Are you outdoors people or more for shows and arts and things? I can suggest anything and everything. And many things in and around the Springs area since you like it there so much. I live just 30 minutes from the Springs and go there quite often. Always the best place for Christmas shopping! There's so much to see and do just along the I-25 corridor. Then you've got all those glorious hills to discover! If you're into camping I can also suggest many nice campsites. There's a book I have titled, "Colorado Campgrounds: 100 Best and All The Rest." It's a good book and I highly recommend it. We tend to stick to more private land when camping, but sometimes stay at the campsites too. Even have some awesome campfire recipes.

If you prefer more city life and the presence of other people, why, we got that too! Denver's fun, and sooooo many things to do, but so dang big. I hate going there anymore. That city has grown sooo much just in my lifetime, that it boggles my mind. Springs is started to become the same way.

Well, I realize I haven't exactly told you any specific spots, however I could write a book for you. Why don't you email me and I can fill you in with more details especially for your wants and needs. I love my state and absolutely love to brag about it. Can you blame me? It's beautiful here!

My email is gojenni714@yahoo.com. Please write me and I'll be more than happy to help you in. I'm looking forward to it. In fact, I will be disappointed if I don't hear from you!
