Hitting Mexico this Summer, but not sure where. We want to nail the primo snorkeling spot somewhere in the Northern half of the country. Any suggestions?

I spent quite a bit of time checking out snorkeling locations in Mexico. The waters off of La Paz are suggested as the best location for snorkeling. La Paz is located in Baja California Sur. Another area in Baja California Sur that is said to be good is Los Islotes.
There are a lot of tour boats that will take you out for snorkeling, diving, whale and dolphin watching as well as seeing other wildlife along the coast of Baja. You may even be able to do some snorkeling from the beach. It has been suggested that you bring your own snorkeling / diving gear with you.
Most of the hotels and resorts have purified and drinkable water, but you should double check on this at the time of check-in. Bottled water is available.
