I'm off to Yosemite in about 2 weeks. Has anyone ever been there? What should I not miss?

We spent 2 days there about 4 years ago as part of visit to California. We stayed in a log cabin by the Merced River just outside the park at a place called El Portal. It was absolutely beautiful. We didn't really have enough time to see it all, but the falls are beautiful (bridal veil, i think it's called) and Half Dome. The deli in the visitor centre does the best sandwiches I've ever had anywhere. They make up huge ones, whatever you ask for. At night we sat out by the cabin having a barbeque watching the eagles on the hills opposite with a sky full of stars. Just see as much of it as you can and have a great time. It's one of the best places I've ever been.

Thank you so much, Andy. Those are good tips, stuff the guides don't tell you. Bet you had a good time revisiting it in your memory. And I'd like you to know that Lyme Regis is one of the best places I've ever been. And Canterbury, and Bath, and the Walled City of York...oh, I miss it so much.
