No altitude problems Dorian and no bears. We saw elk, moose, snowshoe hares, a grey wolf, lots of birds, bald eagles, antelope and a fabulous 200 strong buffalo jam in Yellowstone. They blocked the road for almost half an hour and had lots of babies with them only four weeks old. There must have been a bear quite near the road at one point because there was a fresh elk carcass with the eagles hovering. A huge group of photographers had gathered at the side of the road. They looked like they could have been from National Geographic or something like that. They had all the equipment etc. Old Faithful went up exactly at the predicted time and was superb. So were the other geysers. Mount Rushmore was smaller than I expected but the Crazy Horse memorial was wonderful. They were blasting at the time which was interesting too. This will be one hell of a sculpture when finished. Devils Tower was great, we walked all round and it looks quite different from each angle. I wasn't impressed with Salt Lake City though, great if you are a Mormon but we couldn't go in the temple because we are not. Not much else to do there. I loved the Canyonlands, Arches, Bryce and Zion National parks, each so very different from each other. We went over the Grand Canyon in the fixed wing plane, much better than the helicopter which we did last time. The plane went much higher and we got a superb view. All in all it was brilliant. We did so much in such little time and have more great memories and super photos to look back on. Now planning next years trip.
