cswchan Gold Enthusiast 2009 Enthusiast of the Year	Posted Hide Post Here's another thing you can do.... right click on the file & choose 'properties', & make sure it's NOT marked as 'read-only', 'archived', or anything else. After you uncheck all options, you SHOULD be able to delete the file....

JWooden271 Gold Enthusiast 2009 Enthusiast of the Year	Posted Hide Post Make sure if you have a file sharing program (like Kazaa), it is closed. It may be trying to share the large file! Or you can make a DOS ( http://tinyurl.com/aj7j ) or linux ( http://tinyurl.com/aj6x ) boot disk, make your way to the file and delete it that way.

Bazcaz Bronze Enthusiast	Posted Hide Post Hold down Ctrl/Alt/Delete on your keyboard.in the new window that appears.click the Applications TAB......highlight any that are running and click END TASK so they all close down.......then try to delete the file. Good Luck

Matt	Posted Hide Post I just tried the Ctrl alt delete and it didn't work. Said there is something running it. Its a pretty big file, like 500mb and when i try and delete it my computer runs super sluggish.
