Here's another thing you can do.... right click on the file & choose 'properties', & make sure it's NOT marked as 'read-only', 'archived', or anything else. After you uncheck all options, you SHOULD be able to delete the file....

Make sure if you have a file sharing program (like Kazaa), it is closed. It may be trying to share the large file!

Or you can make a DOS ( http://tinyurl.com/aj7j ) or linux ( http://tinyurl.com/aj6x ) boot disk, make your way to the file and delete it that way.

Hold down Ctrl/Alt/Delete on your keyboard.in the new window that appears.click the Applications TAB......highlight any that are running and click END TASK so they all close down.......then try to delete the file.

I just tried the Ctrl alt delete and it didn't work. Said there is something running it. Its a pretty big file, like 500mb and when i try and delete it my computer runs super sluggish.

I once had an Mp3 file that wouldn't let me delete it. I created a new folder, put the file in it and deleted the folder!
