http://yatinoo.com ? Another rip off Yahoo named clone or leads somewhere dangerous?

On this occasion I was surprised. It is a Beta Search portal which is well laid out and has lots of features including Email and Chat which are not in use yet.
The thing that took my attention was the search engine which looking at the results is in my opinion not either a Google powered search or a Yahoo powered search.No clues on the "About Us" link. It returns a lot of "Hits" like Google, but on my test searches it pulled up many from the archives(Deep/Invisible Web) too and Pitched them near the top of the list. Does not seem to be Page ranking on this engine,just relevant keywords sorting the hits

Speedwise is very fast (Like to see it matched against Google Chrome)

I do like the way that every hit has got a little Thumbnail picture of the page beyond
and has a link to expands to a preview of what is beyond. Clicking on this opens the Full Page

Like Chrome the search frame has a trick If you want to go to an image click on the Image link and the Search changes to Images .Again, they use the Keywords not "paid Ranking"

Look across the List and you'll see a link to Forums. Where you'll end up for a result I cannot help you (Needs further examination)Tried working around to our local forums but it either needs practice or they have not included us in the list yet

There is a Radio Player (Not checked out how many channels).Small prob. Have to set the Language up first.(More on this down the topic)

MP3 Music Player is a bit rough & ready on searching .There is a Big variety of tunes songs(Playing quality is 100%)

Games There seems to be a lot of free Games Provided in the Yahoo/AOL/MSN(and so on) Forum Format style, and they are attracting a lot of players.Not sure if there is an age limit on these .If the site is ICRA certified then it will be 13 and Upwards

Now the Cons..
There is no Preferences/Options links provided
Some Seaches produce results but repeats on the Next page is Random

Cannot increase the displayed Returns on the Search engine, particulary in Search results and Images have to click on the link at the Foot of the search frame

No Map search

No Shop search

Default on the Weather link is set to Morocco...

Which leads me to the Language issue This Portal is primarily designed for North Africa So is in a choice of 3 Languages, English, French (spoken widely in North Africa) also Arabic
But Fair play to the Designers on the News link there are many UK stories featured.Must sense where my IP address is located

In conclusion The final Version may be some time off .As it stands, I do like it.
Is quite Beginner friendly.
No Adult material coming out on top. NO Advertising or Popups!
Does dig deep for Results.

I suspect the reason for the Blandness is for Local custom/relgious reasons but it does not affect Matters greatly

I'm giving this an 8.5/10.
Iron the Bugs out ,and see what the email and Chat are like (when they make them work) Then I'll give it at least a 9

Ps It also has a Fledgling Forum (link on left of the Homepage) No tech queries posted yet. NOTE Top Poster has 20 Posts .Thinks "never beat that!"
