I am about to purchase more RAM but considering also using using Memory enhancer software. Can anybody advise if this software is a better alternative to adding more RAM or should I just add the RAM?
I have bought lots of RAM cards from crucial and really like their service and pricing.
I don't know of any memory enhancing software, so I really can't comment about a comparison, but it is hard for me to imagine that software could enhance performance as much as increasing the total RAM capacity.
Welcome to the 'Pool and I hope you'll find something helpful here!
I hope yours is a great day!

If you have an old PC that you want to make slightly more stable, MaxMem may do the trick. It's a memory manger which flushes the ram when it hits a certain point. On faster machines it hurts more than helps, but can be a savior for old Pentiums.
I'm not completely sure why, but it seems to do the most good on older machines. Newer machines will tend to go much slower while using a "memory manager".
