Open the Disk cleaner by typing cleanmgr into the Run box on the Start menu
Select the drive you want to clean up
It will run a scan which will take a minute or 2 (Be patient Smile)
On the next window there are 7 tick boxes (have to scroll down)
I recommend you tick them all Bar the box which says: View Offline Web pages (which sometimes is absent)Confused
(I should have put this in on the original. Red Face Mike.)

If you are trying to make space on your Hard drive using this program tick the bottom item on the list "Compress old files" as well as the Temp Files box. This is unticked by default ,I managed to recover 350 MB of space, without finding that tick box it would be about 100MB
Note: Allow about 20minutes to complete
Btw I did notice when it scans it works from the bottom upwards Compress Old files first Smile

I used to always type it out like that nowadays I use the file name in the Run box if I can? Roll Eyes saves on navigation (Many get lost using the long hand method Frown)

I would suggest to all, that you insert a :

Cleanmgr

Icon into your Desktop, then the person using same need only to click the Icon to get it.

This saves even more navigation time , because its there when you need it. I do a 'CleanMgr' every time I boot-up.
