I did see a post about this, but can't find it now. Earlier today (yesterday, actually), the Control Panel and Printers and Faxes icons, in my Start Menu appeared as pre-WinXP icons. Why is this and, better yet, how do I fix it?

Thanks again.

Look on the left side of the screen for a setting called, "Switch to Category View". Is that the view you're looking for? You may need to expand the "Control Panel" list by clicking the double arrows on the right side.

If not, click the "View" menu and choose a different view (i.e. Details, Icons, List, etc.)

I hope this helps!

I had done that (several times in fact) and it still wouldn't work. However, just this minute, I tried it again and Voilà! It corrected itself. The icon fairy must've been sleeping. LOL

Thanks, Dwight.
