Before I start burning pictures on my cd-rw I like to set my attribute for archive when the burning is complete I noticed that my attribute switched from archive to read only what do I do to keep it from switching? Hope you can help me. Thanks!

The read-only attribute is inherited automatically when a file is placed on a CD, CDR, or CDRW. (With CDRW and programs that allow you "edit" files on the CDRW, you are actually burning a new copy of the file, not overwriting the old file.) This is because the files on the disk cannot be edited. I suspect the problem you have with this is when you copy the files back to the hard drive, you have to manually change the attributes. There is a freeware application to counter this problem called Attribute Changer, and is availabe at Petget.com. Good luck!
