I know someone is gonna ask eventually. So might as well post it now.

While great for LCD/laptop users, people with CRT displays may find that
ClearType actually makes text more difficult (blurry) to read.
First, you can try tuning ClearType using
Microsoft's online ClearType tool. (IE required)
If you see no improvement, ClearType can be disabled:
1. Open the Display control panel
2. Click the Appearance tab
3. Click Effects
4. Under "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:", either select 'Standard' or uncheck the box.
5. Click Ok. Click Ok. Done.
