If you have already validated your copy of Windows, there may be an update available, it depends on how recently you did it. Go to Tools>Manage Add-ons, highlight "Windows Genuine Advantage" and click on "Update ActiveX", it'll then tell you if an update is available for you.
I could not get it that way I got it by clicking
Windows Update on the Start menu (Not the shield icon) This took me to the update page and clicked on the
Express Get high-priority updates (recommended)button and the download window appears ...
