I thought Google Talk was going to be the Chat room for the Google services
with a saved chats section on Gmail. But when I pressed the link I was taken to this page http://mail.google.com/mail/help/chat.html and in big letters on the top I read:

Check out the latest buzz: our new Gmail chat features. It's rolling out to all Gmail accounts within the next few weeks.

Memo to self: Must build up my Contact list(Send out more Gmail invites)
