Hello! Both regular printer paper and photo paper has a Brightness number, a Thickness number, and a Weight number. How do you know which paper to get for the printer you have?
Also, I just got some Photo Paper. It says it's for an Ink Jet. Is an HP Deskjet 840C printer an Ink Jet? It takes a long time for the ink to dry enough on this paper to where it doesn't come off if you rub your finger on it...
Any help is appreciated!

The paper you get depends on what you are using it for. Anything that you really want to look professional should be a higher grade paper. If I was turning in a term paper for school or a resume I would go with the better paper.
For everyday use any midgrade paper should do. (It costs about 10.00 for 500 sheets).
A deskjet uses Ink Jet paper. You can use laser paper but it is just more expensive.
