The Real Player is set to open automatically in your Startup list.

You can open the Real Player and:
1. Click View
2. Click Preferences
3. Click the General tab (this may already be open)
4. At the bottom, click the "Settings" button under "Start Center".
5. Uncheck the option to "Enable StartCenter".
6. Click OK
7. Click OK again
8. Close Real Player

At your next Windows start-up the Real Player should not run automatically.

Note the above procedure is for the Real Player Basic. If you have a different version, the procedure may differ slightly.

If you cannot get the steps above to work, there is another method of shutting off the StartCenter. Please post again for those directions.

This might work without using Dwights method
Click Start then in the RUN box type MSConfig
Then a Box will appear with Several tabs
Click the tab Startup(on the right side)
then on the List underneath untick any references to Real or Real Networks
Then Press Apply, then OK .Next Computer will ask For a Restart.(can defer it till next startup)
By doing this it should stop the Program from Showing up as the Computer is Starting Up. But you can start them in the Normal way
A handy thing to know if your Tool tray next to the clock is getting cluttered Wink

Thanks bedstor, that method is what I was going to suggest next.

Butter, if you have trouble finding the Real File in msconfig, post again for further details.

PS: msconfig is the file name for the Microsoft utility program "Microsoft System Configuration Utility". TMI? I find knowing what these acronyms stand for helps me remember what they are.

Cheers Dwight
Further to what I said earlier I discovered this ... When you reset the computer a message box appears informing you that the file has "changed".
There is a Tick box which should be ticked.(In this box) Otherwise this becomes a Nag message on every start of your computer! Frown
