I like it... The feature that I like best is the "Tabs" function. I find it especially useful on a site like AnswerPool. I use the "New Since Your Last Visit" function in the AnswerPool "Find" menu. Then, as I scroll through the list of new items, I right-click on any that I want to read and choose "Open in new tab". then I scroll through the tabs to read the pages.
Known issues with I.E. 7.0. If you're running Zone Alarm version 6.5, you may want to uninstall it long enough to install the I.E. upgrade. then re-install the Zone Alarm.
Item number 8. from the "Known Issues" link: If you are running ZoneAlarm 6.5, disconnect from the internet, uninstall ZoneAlarm, make sure Windows Firewall is enabled, reconnect to the internet then install IE7. This is because ZoneAlarm was blocking access to the Windows Registry. Yes, you have to uninstall ZoneAlarm.
I hope this helps!

Installing IE 7
I run Zone Alarm Security Suite and I was able to install IE 7 without uninstalling Zone Alarm without any problems. I have had no problem with IE 7 although I know some people have.
(And no, OldGeezer is not one of my noms de plume. )

I was having a lot of problems with IE7 not being able to open some online files. So I finally downloaded a free copy of Firefox and having much more success with downloaded files and finding pages on line. Ken Hess

FWIW, you'd be much better off with Opera or Firefox. Much richer features, faster, smaller footprint, and no hidden folders/files that slowly fill your hard drive, needing DOS deltree to delete! I kid you not, Explorer is poison.
Hi Dwight, It's been quite a while since I've been in here. One question, when you say IE7 are you talking about the new Window's Vista program? I've been a bit leery abt. downloading it. Thanks, Du

No, Windows Vista is an Operating System. IE7 (technically Windows IE7) is the new Internet browser program. A browser program is what one uses to view pages on the Internet. IE7 is the Microsoft version and as you can see from the earlier posts, there are other companies versions, too.

Thank you Dwight, looks like I'm gonna have to get back into the swing of things and do some updating. Heavens, it's been a year since I've done so! Di

Each browser has it's own benefits and shortcomings. IE 7 won't open my MSN mail (I don't have MSN any more, but they are still letting me view my mailbox, which is where I keep my spam); I have to go to Mozilla for that. I get a lot of "Can't display" messages with IE, but I'm getting used to it. I like Opera, but it has its limitations also. Wish I could find a program that combines the best of all three!
Dwight, that is great information. Thank you.
