I have a high rise F350 4X4. Since it's fuel injected, I mistakenly thought I had no carburetor. I drove through some very high water in Kentucky...made it. This was just a huge flooded field, no danger involved. Next time I need to do this, what is the best plan of attack? Slow? Fast? What else?

Queenie, you don't have a carburetor. What you have is a throttle body which has "butterfly" valves that look much the same as those found in carburetors. As long as the intake for the induction system stays above the water there is no problem.
If you just gotta drive through high water, go slowly. But my best advice to you is don't do it. 2 children died in the heavy rains here a couple of weeks ago because mom attempted to drive on a flooded road.
Correct on the no carborator, but you do have an air-intake, and if that is flooded, your engine will drown out and stop, and possibly with engine damage.... Soooooo, slow down and only go if ya really gotta...

Thanks guys! This was just a little county road adjacent to a flooded field, there was no current. At worst, I could have gotten out and waded to shore....snakes! It was only 4 feet deep.
Engine damage! That will stop me from ever doing it again.

You drove through four feet of water????? I strongly wouldn't suggest doing that again. I say you got lucky doing it the first time. I'm from Kentucky.
