i have been surfing the net for the past few days with no luck. perhaps someone can point me in the right direction?

i want to know how long a no fault accident with a claim affects your insurance rates.

from the sites ive been at, some say 3 years, others 8, our insurance guys say 6.

is there a set standard or does it vary with the insurance carriers?

If your Insurance guy is giving 6 years NCB that's a very good deal Cool
I found this off a Uk site which states they "cut off" at 5 years NCB in the UK
Note: I should point out that the insurance companies work to a common set of guidelines in the Uk (regulated)So there is little flexibility from company to company

Same site FAQs in box on right (if you want to know more?)
