My brother has a fifth wheel and lives in Canada. He wants soon to change his main car and buy a F150 or F250 truck to haul the said fifth wheel. In Canada the minister of transport won't bother him if he travels with both vehicles, but in the USA there is a maximum weight on hauling if the pulling vehicle is not "double wheeled" in the back. He doesn't want any problems while traveling in the USA. Anyone knows or has any documentation on what is the max. weight for a "simple wheeled" vehicle for hauling? Is it the same in any States? Thanks!

they dont bug ya here in sunny calif. but your truck should be of the proper size for the hauling job. you can go to the fed site for info im not sure what the site name is but just google fed dot rules and it will get you started. each state has its own set of rules that over ride the fed rules so you may have to google for each state.
