Does the lemon law cover the same part being replaced or the entire system? My boyfriend had his brakes worked on 4 times in the last 2 years. It was a different part each time. What exactly is the lemon law and what would be the first step in taking action? (I'm hoping there is a self help way without an attorney for financial reasons)

Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no national lemon law. Each state administers its own program. I would suggest starting with either your state or local department of consumer afairs. You can do that without a lawyer.
