Where is the starter located?

Hi AprilView and welcome to AP!

The starter should be located at the very bottom of the motor on the passenger side. There would be a large red wire coming from the battery and ending at the starter.

It would be pretty close to the firewall that separates the engine compartment to the passenger compartment.

If this is a new vehicle to you, it would be really good to get a Chilton's manual for your truck...it should be available at any auto parts store - a great publication!

disconect the battery before you try and remove that if your going to do it yourself. lots of sparks if you dont.
