- New paint job, standard paint, with sparkle finish
Paint jobs really vary quite a bit. You can get the whole car repainted for a few hundred dollars, but it'll be low quality, or you can spend thousands and look better than new. I'd say $1000 for decent work.

- Applying a hood decal (large stick on tribal design), and putting a protective finish on it
If you already have the decal, then it shouldn't be expensive. $100, give or take, depending on complexity.

- Converting my locks and windows to power instead of manual
Don't know the specifics of a Dodge Spirit, but typically that would require quite a bit of electrical work-wiring up switches, installing motors, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if a shop charged $1000+ for all 4 windows and doors.

- Darkening all the glass to a darker (but street legal) tint
$150-$300

- Installing a previously purchased CD player
$50

- Installing a universal spoiler (Also, how much would a universal spoiler run me?)
$150 for the spoiler, and about the same to paint and install.

- Possibly installing a universal hood scoop (How much would that be?)
About the same as a spoiler.

I know this is a lot of work for an older car, but in my case it is a better alternative to fix it up than to get a newer car. It is in GREAT condition with many brand new parts bought within the last year or so.
So if anyone here does this kind of work or has any ideas how much each of these things would run me, please let me know. I understand that different shops charge different things for labor and such, but I just want a very ROUGH estimate from here if at all possible.
Also, please e-mail me at the address in my profile when someone responds because my notifications are not working at this time.
Thanks so much!
Sarah
Glad to hear you like it. Just be aware that just because you put a lot of money into making a car really nice doesn't mean that the car is worth that much more money. Doing $3000 worth of work to a car that normally sells for $3000 doesn't make it worth anywhere near $6000. If you're looking to keep the car for several years, then it might be worth it, but if you're wanting to save up for a new(er) one sometime in the next few years, you'll end up losing a lot of money trying to fix up an older one.
