My son is looking for a service manual for a 1990 240X Nisson. We were reading up on the Chiltons manual, but that manual has had bad reviews. Are there any other companys besides them that sells manuals. He has checked out the factory service manual, but prices are high - $80.!

Try Haynes...My husband has 2 z's and has been very pleased with the Haynes manuals....or bite the bullet, and buy the Nissan manual....it is worth the price if you do a lot of your own work(we paid 150 for the manuals for a car we used to have, never regretted a penny)

The factory service manual is well worth putting out the extra dollars on. Especially if you are doing all the repair and / or maintenance yourself. It has complete and detailed information and diagrams.

If you are unable to find the manual, I found a forum site for car owners. Your son could post any question on there. A few people are selling their cars. He could ask if someone would give him theirs. (maybe he could ask what manuals are good) It has some good car tips too.
