The starter on my dads 1995 Toyota 4-Runner went out on him. He's got the new one and he's waiting to put it on, but he's not sure how to do it. Keep in mind, he was a mechinec for 25 years, so this must be a hard thing to do?? Anyway, any information would be helpful! Kendor, help!!

Haynes offers a repair and maintenance guide for that model, available at most auto parts stores, Borders, Barnes&Noble, etc....the Haynes books generally have good illustrations and step by step "walk throughs" of such tasks...and ask him if the timing belt has been changed!Good luck!
