I ran out of gas ... again Roll Eyes and of course spilled gas on my hands with a leaky gas spout. How do mechanics and gas jockeys ever get the odor off their hands ?

I once owned a gas station and we used to carry a waterless hand cleaner. It came in a can and it was orange colored. I believe it also had an orange odor to it. You can get it in any automotive supply sstore like Advance, or Pep Boys, or Western Auto. You could carry a can and a roll of paper towels in your trunk for emergencies. It works better than soap on grease and oily dirt.
