I have a 125 Psi 1.5 hp 3 gal craftsman air compressor that will run good but it will not build up presser in tank, thans CW

You probably have an air leak.
Mix a tablespoon or so of dish soap with a cup of water in a spray bottle.
Spray it on the air line and the valves, coat them well, get them good and wet.
While it's still wet, start your compressor and look for bubbles- this will tell you where it's leaking air.

Can you give me the model and seral numbers off the unit? Also, how old is it?

I ask that as I had one and found that the oil less air compressor are through-a-way units.

While you can get parts for them, you will find by time you buy some of the parts, you would have been better off buying a new one.
