Usually to disarm and/or reset a car alarm, you simply disconnect the power to it for a few minutes, and then rehook it (or leave it disconnected to disarm it.) You typically need to be pressing the Lock/Unlock button when you reconnect the power to reset the system to recognize your key-fob.
Most car alarm systems have one button on the fob to lock/unlock the car, and a second as a "panic" button. If your neighbors aren't easily alarmed (no pun intended), you might try just holding down the second button for a few seconds and see if it sets off the alarm. Otherwise, it may actually do nothing. (Our car has automatic locks, a panic button, and remote start, but no alarm. However, the key fobs have a button for setting and disabling an alarm, because the manufacturer makes a general fob that will fit everything you can put in the car, not specific ones for each system.)
I couldn't find your specific kind of alarm online but you might call your local car parts stores (such as Parts America or Napa) and see if they can tell you.
Good luck!
